Today I want to share with you an ongoing project I just started! I had the idea that I wanted to make a book of all the fun family activities & experiments we should do with Tristan as he gets older. Kind of like a recipe book for fun & learning!
Today I made the cover! I wanted it to be simple & sturdy since I plan to use it for a long time, so I used a naked index book by 7gypsies & some TCC chipboard basics & rub-ons to add the title.
I’m going to make a double (facing) page for each of the fun things we should do like make a Magic Crystal Garden with charcoal (remember those!!!). I’ll leave a space on each page to add a photo & notes as we complete the projects. As I make pages I’ll share them with you. The first section will be recipes for homemade crafts & experiments. So far on my list:
- magic crystal garden
- homemade bubble gum
- modeling clay (the salt kind)
- silly putty or play dough
- paper making (I actually made paper as kid & it was fun!)
I’d love to hear your suggestions, ideas & tips! What would you put in your book?
Specific supplies I used to complete my project:
Naked Index Book & Elements Edges Rubbings by 7gypsies; TCC chipboard basics; Alpha rub-ons by Making Memories; Jet Black StazOn Solvent Ink Pad; Gridlines rubber stamp by Fontwerks; Americana® acrylic paint by DecoArt®: White Wash; Foam Star Stamp by Martha Stewart; Dymo labeler; clear photo corners.
