Wool Wash
great for saving money with washable wools!
set washing machine on gentle cycle
add ammonia to COLD water, 1 cup per load
shape garments and lay flat to dry
Tub and Tile Cleaner
1/2 tsp washing soda
1 tsp. Borax
1/2 tsp. liquid soap
3 Tbsp. vinegar
2 C hot water
Mix all and put in a spray bottle. Works well for general cleaning. Can add food coloring to separate from other cleaners if desired.
Furniture Polish
2 Tbsp. linseed oil or flaxseed oil
2 Tbsp. white vinegar
4 Tbsp. lemon juice
A few drops of essential oil for fragrance if desired.
Shake all ingredients in a jar and then saturate a cleaning rag with the mixture. Add walnut oil for dark wood if desired, but it is not necessary. (oils are available at most health food stores)
